Kohn & Case
Startup branding and visual identity

"Branding is less about creating an identity for your business and more about creating a shared identity with your customers. Your brand is not shaped by what you think it should be, but rather what your customers want it to be."

I directed and produced the brand identity for startup Kohn & Case, a curated artisan phone and tablet accessories shop. Working closely with the client I established a narrative and tone of voice for the brand; artisan, design-led, informal, fun and character-driven.

The brand comprises of a specially commissioned figure illustration of Kohn and Case underlined with a vintage letterpress logo face. The brand cascades from a fully featured logo down to a compact signature mark to ensure it accommodates varying formats across a myriad of applications from packaging, print, web and social platforms.
